Hi John,

I live in the countryside and the nearest neighbors are 200 m away. My antenna is stretched between 2 trees.
But after 0900 UTC, I have a lot of static noise during the summer. It's better in the evening, but only when there is no storm.

Longwire antenna?
Maybe it is possible to make it coax-feeded outside the house?
And put some earth radials in the ground.
Here almost no noise with that antenna system.

Yes, I have made that, with a 9:1 balun.
My antenna is at about 30 m from the shack, and the feeder is coaxial.
I have no domestic noise, but I am in South-West of France, with many thunderstorms around.
