Ontbijt Radio / Breakfast Radio

Bericht door WireUK »

This week over breakfast (07:00) here in the UK, I've been hearing weak signals around 1640

Also, 1646 this morning, Saturday 19th November too. Plenty of Dutch music but no QSO / ID !

If you transmitted around this time then please let me know. Even more so if your going to be a regular 'Ontbijt Radio'

It should make ID easier t)

I remember 'Zonnester' was heard by Iann (France) too at that time.
Also, i did some tests myself last sunday at 1440 and 1395 khz.
I was heard on a webreceiver in Ireland between 11:00-12:00 CET.
Also some other stations received overthere at 1620-1660 khz.

Greetings from NW England.

Today 2011-11-29 started recording at 06:30 UTC a station on 1620.

Does the station give ID 7 minutes into the recording? I give the time since the recording is poor especially at the start

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

In the recording there are 2 pirate stations audible and some American stations.
The first pirate til about 5.20 was i think ( no ID audible) Radio Vriendschap and the second one up to 8.17 , with the ID was Radio Noordzee giving rapport to Radio Vriendschap

Thanks for listening to the recording and more importantly solving the mystery.

Nordzee is clear but certainly confused me when refering to Radio Vriendschap. This sounds nothing like it's written either, sounds like it should be 'Breescap'

There is probably no American stations in the recording, perhaps English station 1602, or perhaps Vatican in English on 1611. When I tune the loop, it does saturate the radio with the tuned frequency so I do have to be careful to tune the loop correctly !

Thank you again Jan for your input.
