Reception in England this evening (July 29, 2011)

Hi everybody and greetings from England!

Here are some of the stations I heard on Friday night with the Lowe HF225 and outdoor magnetic loop. All times are UTC:

1640 2026 Vrolijke Mijnwerker 55544
1629 2027 Midlife 44444
1628 2042 Rebel 33433
1647 2058 Zeewolf 44444
1661 2058 Driland 44444
1668 2132 Barones 55555
1619 2205 Studio Friesland 33433
1636 2211 Hemmeling 42443
1646 2311 Jeneverstoker 34323
1646 2325 Readymix weak signal

Some big signals on the band tonight, but strongest of all was Baro, with very steady, solid reception here with little fading

There was a station also very strong for several hours on 1651, but I did not catch the ID!

Midlife was doing very well indeed with low power and was heard here for the first time. Also, Rebel Radio from Dokkum at the same time. Both were audible using a narrow filter. Later Midlife was even better when Rebel had closed down

Zeewolf was coming in particularly well once the stations around him had closed down. The signal was very strong during a QSO with Readymix, whose signal was also audible here, but only very weak

Studio Friesland was coming in with a nice signal during his QSO with Hemmeling, who also had a good signal but was getting a lot of splatter from Vrolijke Mijnwerker on 1640

Thank you very much for reception report and audio recording.
I find it still amazing how good it sounds over such a distance!

Finding a place between the big guns is difficult and maybe I should start 1 hour later the next time with special permission .
