Energy Power AM from Dublin on 1395 kHz

Op dit moment komt dit station redelijk goed binnen. Er zit een trage fading op het signaal de muziek keuze is goed.

Leuk om ook weer eens wat anders dan Albanie te horen op de 1395 kHz.

Ik luister nu al een half uurtje of zo naar dit station en je kan duidelijk een optimod horen die zijn werk doet daar....heerlijk.

Volgens mij schakelden ze afgelopen dagen telkens na 23.00 uur in.
En wat klonk het mooi, hoorde ze hier ook prima.
Ik kon eerst de stationsnaam er niet goed 'uithalen'.
Maar onze 'jonge' Boet wel! (nog bedankt)

Later kon ik zelf de naam Energy AM 1395 ook 'Luid en Duidelijk' horen.

Hello MRF,

Thank for your signal report and mp3 files.

I can confirm that you received the signal of Energy Power AM
1395 KHz broadcasting from Dublin Ireland.

The station started six years ago and broadcasts mainly on
weekends to the greater Dublin area. We play on Medium wave as there
is no other service available in Dublin on this band which so many radios can
receive.

The playout system runs on a PC with around 2500 music
tracks along with station Id's plus jingles.

Our transmitter is a workship built 330 watt solid state unit employing
the PDM (pulse duration modulation) scheme of generating Amplitude
Modulation.

A picture of it is attached for you.

It gives a very loud and high quality audio on a receiver
tuned to the TX frequency. There is alot of information on the web regarding
this AM method so I need not go into further detail.

The Antenna is a 1/8 wavelength vertical with top hat and tuning coil
to bring it to 1/4 wave resonance on the operating frequency. This is
placed over a 17 spoke radial ground system with 8 grounding rods.

The strong field radius from the antenna is around 15 Km over which
the program gets in very well even on insensitive receivers.

This relitively short radius is more than enough to cover Dublin city
however

Our audio is processed with an Orban 9100a Optimod which keeps
the modulation level always up at 100% while maintaining very good audio
quality.
The transmitter is fed with a VHF link from the programme source. This provides
a major degree of RF isolation between the TX and the audio source.

Ik hoor dat je het filter er niet bij tussen hebt staan
Maar het werkt wel bij dit station.
Een aantal jaren geleden heb ik ook de eindtrap gezien.
Deze kwam bij anorak nation voorbij.

Jawel, maar onder het begrip 'piraat' wordt in Ierland toch wel wat anders verstaan dan hier dacht ik?
Heb wel eens gehoord dat het daar net zoiets is als het begin van de 'vrije radio's' in België, en de situatie in Italië.
Zo van: "eigenlijk mag het niet, foei enzo, maar vooruit dan maar".

Ik zie nergens dat Energy een geautoriseerde broadcaster is ook van een freq. toewijzing zie ik niets.

Mijn conclusie is dan ook P....t. Ook gezien de bouwwijze van het apparaat.
Anders had men wel een fabrieks kast denk ik dan.

In Ierland kan inderdaad veel maar niet alles getuige LHH.
