Monday night reception on MW in England (August 8, 2011)

A quiet night on MW tonight, but these are the stations heard with the Lowe HF225 and outdoor loop antenna. All times UTC:

1663 2027 Zwarte Arabier 44434
1645 2034 Merlin 55434
1632 2037 Polydor met Witte Tornado 45434
1620 2101 Rebel 22432
1640 2235 Professor Zickbok 44444
1637 2239 Pionier 44444

Zwarte Arabier was busy with a long programme that ended at 0145 Dutch time. The audio tonight sounded better than usual, with some deep bass tones. There was a small hetrodyne on the frequency for much of the broadcast, but the signal was strong most of the time, so that wasn't too much of a problem

Polydor and Witte Tornado were busy together on 1632 before receiving a report from the Professor. Both were strong here

Rebel was suffering with big interference from another carrier on 1620, but was coming up through the noise every now and again

Pionier from Rotterdam was heard with a short test transmission. Signal and modulation were both strong, and the music sounded particularly good
