Together with Kai salvesen I am going to listen for two days and one night as well at Lista, South Norway.
Probably the Norwegian hotspot for ontvang van Nederland.
Hereby an invitation to you all to test for reception in Noorwegen, daytime is particularly interesting, and also "within" the mediumwave band, as well as 1615-1730.
Time to test the tiniest wattages !
All Saturday from early morning, to Sunday evening.

We had a very good weekend at Lista. We were listening from Arvid's car and slept in a tent. Fortunately it didn't start to rain before the tent was up

Hi everyone!

I'm back at home (in Oslo) after a memorable weekend at Lista (south coast).

Arvid heard a lot of interesting new NDBs (non-directional beacons), and we both heard lots of interesting MW pirates!

Our antenna was 100 m of wire lying on the ground (connected to the radios via balun, splitter and coax). Direction: south-west. I used a Sangean ATS 909; Arvid used an Eton (I don't remember the exact type).

Thanks to all for the reactions to our log.

Albert: We concentrated on MW because Lista is particularly suitable for that band. Many of the stations we heard probably can't be heard at most other locations in Norway. But next time perhaps we'll try SW as well

Pacman: Yes, I know it sounds incredible, but I'm absolutely sure we heard 0511, Bonte Koe and Jan van Gent (100 % IDs). There's just water between Friesland and Lista, and I guess that's the explanation. We also heard several British RSL and LPAM stations. So if you have trouble hearing each other down there in the Netherlands - come to Lista!

Relmus: I'm sorry we didn't listen. Perhaps we went to "bed" too early. (We wanted to get up early in the morning …) I'm sure we'll hear you again soon at our home QTHs!

I will write to some of the stations I heard with more detailed reports. But It may take some time...

Pacman: Yes, I know it sounds incredible, but I'm absolutely sure we heard 0511, Bonte Koe and Jan van Gent (100 % IDs). There's just water between Friesland and Lista, and I guess that's the explanation. We also heard several British RSL and LPAM stations. So if you have trouble hearing each other down there in the Netherlands - come to Lista!
