Paul radio Caroline overleden

In het ontvangstrapporten forum staat een bericht van Paul radio Caroline. Omdat ik denk dat niet iedereen dit bericht hier heeft gelezen open ik bij deze een nieuw topic.
Paul schreef onderstaand bericht:

Hi again,
This might have been our last logs of this region...
Caroline had been at University Hospital at Dresden again last Thursday and
his situation is terribble...he even isnt able to eat anything since 1 week.
They discovered that his esophageal cancer has grown into the stomach and there
is still no possibility to help him.
He now made the decision to settle down again to the German region south of Enschede
very soon (the region where he had been growing up)...there the wife of his brother
can take care of him till his end.
He wants to finish his life by getting any last syringe at any Dutch hospital at Winterswijk or Enschede, but thats only possible for Dutch people....
PLEASE: Can anyone help him to get Dutch very soon that he can finish his life
at any Dutch hospital !!!!

Paul hasn't been on the forum for a while any more nor has he replied to my SMS message. So I am not sure if he will be able to read this message.
But Paul you will be missed greatly.

Update 28/04 Today I got informed that Paul has passed away on the 26th of April 2018. My condolences to his family and relatives.

Och ja, inderdaad. Doordat hij al poos niet meer op forum zat was ik dit al bijna vergeten.
Had 'm tijdje terug via ander kanaal ook nog een bericht gestuurd.
Helaas ook daar(na) niets meer van vernomen.
Wat nu de status is, i don't know.

Zag net op zijn website dat de laatste update van 3-februari is terwijl hij daarvoor wekelijks wel wat toe voegde.
Ben bang dat er maar een conclusie is...

Ik had afgelopen weekend ook de info over de
slechte gezondheidssituatie van Paul geplaatst -
maar het was later verwijderd....................................

Hopelijk wordt 't geen lijdensweg voor hem....................................

Vandaag is bij mij bekend geworden dat Paul is overleden op 26 april 2018. Ik wens Paul zijn familie en vrienden veel sterkte toe.

I was so surprised to hear the news via Ianns Chat Page tonight.
He was always enthusiastic for the pirate radio and this showed through on the chat where I joined him night after night.

Very sad news in the pirate community.
The dog Goofy is now orphan, his friend is gone for a world that it is said to be better.
If this world exists, I'm sure Paul will continue to listen to the shortwave bands. RIP Paul.
